But before the rut happened me and my friends had a Painting Jam at my buddy Ryan's house. All we did was sit around a table and painted (gasp). And at that time is wanted to do a test Terminator to see where i wanted my colors to go on it. So while Ryan was teaching my other friends how to paint well, I worked on my terminator. And I think he came out really cool.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZvIm861cEjfSOvImK3R-WWe0CJbxBYQvwAerhtRikkpq0hKfc8KITbMCKa7xompIOdre0lffURENR2gIAYq_p1-SfFZzzlxjNvvdbuR40ykb7xEkFEkIPrrp-EyOwlnWEk6k6QURnV4k/s1600/IMGP1147.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZvIm861cEjfSOvImK3R-WWe0CJbxBYQvwAerhtRikkpq0hKfc8KITbMCKa7xompIOdre0lffURENR2gIAYq_p1-SfFZzzlxjNvvdbuR40ykb7xEkFEkIPrrp-EyOwlnWEk6k6QURnV4k/s320/IMGP1147.JPG" width="261" /></a></div>He's not completely done but almost there. Just a few minor things to do on him, like cables, the storm bolter, and a skull on his hand. I would say 85% done.<br />

Painting such a large model is really hard. But I think I'm going to go for an extreme line highlight for all the hard edges of the tank. The Sponsons kinda got messed up in the Priming stage so I'm think about making some new ones and starting those from scratch.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have placed a lot of work into the Coils of the Cannon. Trying to get the sense of power moving forward to the right side of the cannon. Did a lot of layering of different shades of blue. Started out with Regal Blue for the Base. Then I jumped to Enchanted Blue. After that I mixed Enchanted Blue with some Skull Skull with about 60%-40%. Then went to an Enchanted Blue and Skull White about 40%-60%. At the time of the Photo I haven't placed a highlight of Skull White yet. I think it looks good of the first time of mixing my own paint and doing something as ambitious as this.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

Mind you these are on my to do list that I wrote up, and it was an idea that has been burning in my head for a while.<br />
<br />
Well on with the pics.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLO9X6WOjPqlsCDDN1MXbCEv856FbSZhEMVp4IiR9brDBC2a5UVL8WnQPTLl2oTQsOVvWD2DQYaGyBzEy5DmoImH5bRWch57ccCD9usDDtDXWGiPmckayPLBmuxT9hY_HJS3exWsqjMvI/s1600/IMGP1061.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLO9X6WOjPqlsCDDN1MXbCEv856FbSZhEMVp4IiR9brDBC2a5UVL8WnQPTLl2oTQsOVvWD2DQYaGyBzEy5DmoImH5bRWch57ccCD9usDDtDXWGiPmckayPLBmuxT9hY_HJS3exWsqjMvI/s320/IMGP1061.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> So this is the wrist mounted bolter I was working on. All it really needs is a little green stuff to fill gaps and add some more details. Also add an ejection port for spent bolt casing.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqH2D-Gk5Q85BlHh4jFsC1NJ7GeMwDGymtutftnXXP-vy8n9ynuCVNUaB5NspcXZugIy2-JlS0je_zPuDV7XaQFMioSdHk3si6pX6adQlR-yaurNpul3wFMFTRubOh5j-08RIF6bWRor0/s1600/IMGP1062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqH2D-Gk5Q85BlHh4jFsC1NJ7GeMwDGymtutftnXXP-vy8n9ynuCVNUaB5NspcXZugIy2-JlS0je_zPuDV7XaQFMioSdHk3si6pX6adQlR-yaurNpul3wFMFTRubOh5j-08RIF6bWRor0/s320/IMGP1062.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> A look form the other side. Right under the Magazine well I'm going to green stuff some sort of connection to the weapon so the hand has way to trigger the weapon to fire.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZQDJmcTQRbAuCPo3a5R0mYQEnkVe9KaCFQd538anCJjvK34773CIqx_TIWBjg_cX07ZcajE1s8_cxbY8iPH1V3fxo6seqewUKh8QXxf713jm8XBoOxPzK4L9KHLvjkB9b5QgWewzucvw/s1600/IMGP1063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZQDJmcTQRbAuCPo3a5R0mYQEnkVe9KaCFQd538anCJjvK34773CIqx_TIWBjg_cX07ZcajE1s8_cxbY8iPH1V3fxo6seqewUKh8QXxf713jm8XBoOxPzK4L9KHLvjkB9b5QgWewzucvw/s320/IMGP1063.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Here you can see the side Mag assembly. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

The drum mag came for the Sister of battle Storm bolters.</div><br />
Had some fun with all the conversions and hoping to so some more. I'll post a Tutorial for both some time this week.<br />
As always let me know what you think.Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-32499513434952697122011-01-09T15:02:00.000-08:002011-01-10T21:08:34.902-08:00Basing WIPSWell about a week ago my friend brought over a container of sand he uses for his bases. He just uses it as is, but I wanted to control where I use the materials on my bases. So with a couple of sifters from the kitchen I went through the container and placed the end results in separate tubs.<br />
<br />
Have a look, this is what I started with. Not bad to just start with.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvqJ16OszzKJGafwg6IsKN1NGO7WcHOGMC7y1ldfR6rO6B9NoAkIkTEpRojK-5FM53fEQoCYkxcFAXvwRcTJgAqdHDECBqX8EIl7EIhMLEFVcC8YYlXIX9bY4sQmZgEOy_9AI8uTpcl2M/s1600/IMGP1055.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvqJ16OszzKJGafwg6IsKN1NGO7WcHOGMC7y1ldfR6rO6B9NoAkIkTEpRojK-5FM53fEQoCYkxcFAXvwRcTJgAqdHDECBqX8EIl7EIhMLEFVcC8YYlXIX9bY4sQmZgEOy_9AI8uTpcl2M/s320/IMGP1055.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>This is what I ended up with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk9JDUL0qP34TQzPFVUWiUiRXRmcCO9Xx5dyuO3fisYNfjIcg56Znqbq4ELA6B4Pe-HibIZDOkXQTLxWIVYq88unOzEz15g6QRoOTbKca6Yultv8Mn26HiGA6E9n_mRpotBRgoFK8Omjs/s1600/IMGP1052.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk9JDUL0qP34TQzPFVUWiUiRXRmcCO9Xx5dyuO3fisYNfjIcg56Znqbq4ELA6B4Pe-HibIZDOkXQTLxWIVYq88unOzEz15g6QRoOTbKca6Yultv8Mn26HiGA6E9n_mRpotBRgoFK8Omjs/s320/IMGP1052.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Some very fine sand</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGyQpR5Alx8IW4lzZODoFWcdvt_vg-R1txFoNvlBNtyURAMOt6JPeDOPmyRrCK9v6ocwjPwRjtYM4RZ59kpCeO00rDTgiPzfvLA9_3xbdWRMvE07IiCHoabLzpFRnFdNwK8ABK8yNELgE/s1600/IMGP1054.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGyQpR5Alx8IW4lzZODoFWcdvt_vg-R1txFoNvlBNtyURAMOt6JPeDOPmyRrCK9v6ocwjPwRjtYM4RZ59kpCeO00rDTgiPzfvLA9_3xbdWRMvE07IiCHoabLzpFRnFdNwK8ABK8yNELgE/s320/IMGP1054.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> A mix of fine and small rock.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvcjumMPzEfJFSBpgw6gcoTCBm0nSa9COXhDLbHY-MXQXHC4pJmae-AMUGB8RfFQMl8rta_1sem1HokgpWZivL8W4VeGbynQL_g8-9IDMdl39RviPmz0UC1wDUpQ2AvMVeBTA5QSgPPIE/s1600/IMGP1053.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvcjumMPzEfJFSBpgw6gcoTCBm0nSa9COXhDLbHY-MXQXHC4pJmae-AMUGB8RfFQMl8rta_1sem1HokgpWZivL8W4VeGbynQL_g8-9IDMdl39RviPmz0UC1wDUpQ2AvMVeBTA5QSgPPIE/s320/IMGP1053.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Some bigger rock.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">So with these I did up a couple of bases as a test on what I could do with the different tubs. Got some Inspiration from Ron at <a href="http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2010/12/improving-my-basing.html">From the Warp</a> on his post about improving his basing, as well as the tutorial section over there. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Well here they are.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFZ67AXz8SzIMEDHbynWhfqX26f1bNz_yQrLLcGA0qe3F5whxYgRZGccoKzL4hXjjvmDDPgruBl460I_Zh_p7COKmISw6-s878KDBAUGz9Lr4cMcjJflmriCKsAQ2DVqYTUPzjXzo0htE/s1600/IMGP1048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFZ67AXz8SzIMEDHbynWhfqX26f1bNz_yQrLLcGA0qe3F5whxYgRZGccoKzL4hXjjvmDDPgruBl460I_Zh_p7COKmISw6-s878KDBAUGz9Lr4cMcjJflmriCKsAQ2DVqYTUPzjXzo0htE/s320/IMGP1048.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

<br />
Ok still here laying about the house somewhere. Been working on my Tatical Squads and Preadator. Lots of Real Life in the way, but its going to get better. Going to have alot more time for the hobby as I'm putting the little one in School. But that also means NO money to get hobby stuff.(i'm a sad panda)<br />
<br />
Lets see what else.<br />
<br />
Got the Chapter load out for every Marine, Vehicle and Support element down on paper. Transfering it to the laptop on Excel. Namining everyone as well (alot to name).<br />
<br />
Trying to set up a Painting Jam with some friends to get better at painting. <br />
<br />
OH the best part.<br />
<br />
Met a guy who live close by who plays 40k. (plays Dark Eldar xeno scum) We played a few games and a really cool guy(hate his Wyches). But the cool things is he's a GREAT painter I'm taking GW 'Eavy Metal team style. Thats who's brain we are going to pick at the Painting Jam. Looking foward to that in two weeks.<br />
<br />

<br />
So this is Brother Crispin of 2nd Squad. I think this is so far my best work. Even more so than my Captain. I went away from the Drybrushing and did straight layering with extreme highlights. <br />
I think he looks a hell of a lot better than just drybrushing.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9PVFapu5TXGPTWm_V_XxhBD_taF74IfcrdPfKpQhk7Z4GqnSncy09fdvZ0HYrTKVAfJ4Lwmh4VHOSHPBh9bZ7_YYU5tUd9ZWwkchkgoqVVXQunocqk9vLHKAl44zlS3OeKuo4Xq1IRbE/s1600/IMGP0913.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9PVFapu5TXGPTWm_V_XxhBD_taF74IfcrdPfKpQhk7Z4GqnSncy09fdvZ0HYrTKVAfJ4Lwmh4VHOSHPBh9bZ7_YYU5tUd9ZWwkchkgoqVVXQunocqk9vLHKAl44zlS3OeKuo4Xq1IRbE/s200/IMGP0913.JPG" width="150" /></a></div><br />

This took me about 6 days at about 12 hours in total. All that's left is the Power Pack and the Base.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-77831312211936218552010-10-24T23:34:00.000-07:002010-10-24T23:34:46.002-07:00Well I'm Still HereLife can and will get the best of you. Especially if it's a game call "Halo: Reach". The game is really great but im sad that its the supposed last one in the series.<br />
<br />
But back to hobby news. My game with my buddy last month was a disaster. I couldn't roll for the life of me and did some bad mistakes. But live and learn. it was fun even though I was almost wiped of the board. Scott played a good game and killed my army to 3 men in a tower. Horrible game, but fun. (I still cry when I think about it, Damm Necrons.)<br />
<br />
But during this time I have been away I have been thinking where I want to go with this hobby. What keeps me doing this? Why do I invest my time to this when I have so many more hobbies?<br />
<br />
And I decided it wasn't playing the Game, it was the Fluff.<br />
<br />
I started to noticed it when I was at work. I must have read the SM Codex maybe five times and every story, every picture had me. The struggle, the Last Stands of an Empire, and the Heroes of it all.<br />
<br />
See I'm a sucker for lost causes and final stands. (Explains why I play Firefight in Halo a lot.) <br />
<br />
So with the time I have I have been writing Fluff and reading more over at the B&C Forums (Bolter & Chainsword) and just getting a feel of where I want my Chapter to fit in. Been looking at Galaxy Maps looking for a home, writing combat docs, figuring what founding we were made from, and even the most smallest of details I've been thinking about.<br />
<br />
But there is something I DO know that i want to do.<br />
<br />
And that is Boys and Girls......<br />
<br />
IS TO DO A FULL CHAPTER<br />
<br />
I'm not just talking about the 1,000 brothers. I'm talking about doing everyone. Every vehicle, Tech-marine, Servitor, Apothecary, Libby, and Chappy. I even want to do the BFG ships for my own.<br />
<br />
I have already started the planing phase. I have the Chapter Master, Honor Guard, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Company load outs. Every piece of Wargear that they have.<br />
<br />
I'm Working on the Armory right now got the Tech-Marines wargear down. Just have to do the Vehicles.<br />
<br />
Mind you, this is all Planing right now and I'm working on putting it all on a Spreadsheet for ease of refrence as well as when I start Assembly and Painting. I'll use it as a guide.<br />
<br />
Well that's all I have going on right now. Not much to show for at the moment. But I's still painting just got to get out of a rut of not wanting to.<br />
<br />
(End Rant)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
P.S. May be I'll ask my Wife for a Thunderhawk for Christmas.Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-9867052271867134412010-09-10T10:01:00.000-07:002010-09-10T10:03:21.713-07:00Not As Close As I ThoughtWell it's Friday. That means in two days its time for the 750 game with my friend Scott. I got nowhere near where I though I would be. But its okay.Well have a great game and I'm going to Smash his Necron force.<br />
<br />
So here is some pics of where I am as of today.<br />

It is the Responsibility of the Squad leader to carry the Aspex and call out enemies to the Heavy Weapon Marine, and to direct the squad when the Sergent is away or when they are broken up into combat squads.<br />
<br />
He and everyone else on this post got the base colors and washes on him and that's it. <br />
<br />

The one on the right is the ABOR Captain and he is ornate enough to look like he is wearing Artificer armor. The weapons don't matter as the are both power weapons and the bolter has hellfire rounds.<br />
<br />
So let me know what you all think.Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-14229630874951815352010-08-21T21:48:00.000-07:002010-11-24T08:29:25.372-08:00Sisters of The Moonlight<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>So like I said in my last post, my wife wants to start an army of Sisters of Battle. I'm going to go over what she likes and come up with a 400pt list for our Combat Patrol games me and my buddy likes to play.<br />
<br />
These are the colors she picked out. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxUAw1Sdupg-4SuajlKTIsqp1tUpJ6gvrwUVjckTn5l29ikIOdSsDgDcwlz59XEMcMPbAOSdhZ6_RV0bzCvpciS7pV_PCmsI94eLUJRM8aLxOHfFUPm__UYDlfBVACXr_nexRqV_7_prg/s1600/Sister+of+the+Moonlight.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxUAw1Sdupg-4SuajlKTIsqp1tUpJ6gvrwUVjckTn5l29ikIOdSsDgDcwlz59XEMcMPbAOSdhZ6_RV0bzCvpciS7pV_PCmsI94eLUJRM8aLxOHfFUPm__UYDlfBVACXr_nexRqV_7_prg/s320/Sister+of+the+Moonlight.jpg" /></a></div><br />
So she then asked me if she could paint one of my Marines just to try it out. So I let her. But before she did anything I made it very clear that she need to be careful with the brushes and paints.<br />
<br />
So this is what she made with my available paints.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiunkZ0e2wmJRVWGG_kHcqdNFdsxAgGkD3GtNsa0l3MNvWPdUBt4M5fmNKMhNisj8oZupMt8Rfvy0v4p7_div2lQpG7-fs0xnStJin_ActXv6or2j-FTyOSukYQFuijLg8gcDa8ZDozK-Q/s1600/IMGP0443.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiunkZ0e2wmJRVWGG_kHcqdNFdsxAgGkD3GtNsa0l3MNvWPdUBt4M5fmNKMhNisj8oZupMt8Rfvy0v4p7_div2lQpG7-fs0xnStJin_ActXv6or2j-FTyOSukYQFuijLg8gcDa8ZDozK-Q/s320/IMGP0443.JPG" /></a></div> So the hands are painted Elf Flesh because my wife thought they didn't have any gloves on for some odd reason. But she tried her best and learned it was a lot harder that she thought. I love my wife she can be funny some times.<br />
<br />
But anyways I'm still working on the 750pt list painting some red company stripes on some helmets and starting off a few more with basecoats. Will post some more when I get some good work done. So everyone let my wife know what you all think about her Ideas.<br />

Well it was a really good day today. My family and I went down to the beach today to take my daughter to see the Pacific Ocean. She had fun except the water was a little to cold for her. So she got some shells for her grandma. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">My Daughter and Wife.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>So after the beach we went to get some lunch. my wife wanted to take me to a place called Lucille's BBQ. had a great lunch. Got me some Baby Back Ribs and BBQ Tri-Tip with Beans and Mac & Cheese(my FAV!).<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Food Yum.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>But I guess you are wondering why I'm posting all this on a blog about Warhammer. So I'll let you know.<br />
<br />
I WENT TO THE LA BATTLE BUNKER IN WESTMENSTER!<br />
<br />
It was a cool place lots of tables and all with a different theme to them, lots of cases with nicely painted armys of all the armies of Warhammer 40k and Fantasy. But the coolest thing I thought was seeing the Forge World Reaver and Warhound Titans and seeing how big they really are instead of on the Web.<br />
<br />
And the best thing about being there was that my wife allowed me to get some supplies from the store.<br />

</tbody></table>So it was a really GREAT day today. But that's not the last of the cool things that happened. My wife the love of my life has expressed an interest in the hobby. She wants to paint one of my Space Marines to see if she would like painting. So if she likes it, she wants her own Sisters of Battle army. She even has a name for them, "Sisters of the moonlight" from Reno (try to guess the reference).<br />
<br />
Such an Awesome day today.Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-49636141237127416642010-08-18T20:00:00.000-07:002010-11-25T10:20:20.155-08:00Where I Stand<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> So with the challenge under way I want to post where my 750pt army stands right now. <br />

I found it quite funny he called me his "BFF" (what are we 13 year old girls lol). Its okay he is the guy who got in to 40K with me overseas and who I battle with at least once a month. But next month, September 12th, things are going down and getting bloody. We have set up a 750 point game at the FLGS, <a href="http://agrhiredswords.com/">Adventures Guild of Riverside</a>, and I have to paint up my army before that time.<br />
<br />
So I want to post my 750pt Space Marine are list that's going to battle the Evil Necron hordes.<br />
<br />
<u>HQ</u><br />
Space Marine Captain 155pts<br />
Relic Blade +30pts<br />
Hellfire Rounds +10pts<br />
Artificer Armor +15pts<br />
<br />
<u>TROOP</u><br />
10 Man Tactical Squad 185pts<br />
Meltagun +5pts <br />
Lascannon +10pts<br />
<br />
10 Man Tactical Squad 170pts<br />
Flammer +FREE<br />
Missile Launcher +FREE<br />
<br />
<u>HEAVY SUPPORT</u><br />
Predator Tank 95pts<br />
Heavy Bolter Sponsons +25pts<br />
Storm Bolter +10pts<br />
<br />
<u>Elites</u><br />
5 Man Sternguard Veteran Squad 160pts<br />
Drop Pod +35pts<br />
<br />
TOTAL: 750pts<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">So with every thing listed I'll write down what I have to do:</div><ol><li>Paint the Captain (Primed)</li>
<li>Paint the Predator. (Primed)</li>
<li>Finish 3 Marines and all Backpacks and Bolters of the <a href="http://chapteroftheironskull.blogspot.com/search/label/3rd%20Squad">3rd Squad</a> (Primed)</li>
<li>Paint 2nd Tactical Squad (Primed)</li>
<li>Reassemble a NEW Drop Pod and Paint.</li>
<li>Prime and Paint 5 Sternguard. </li>
</ol>So thats what i have to do before September 12th. Let me know what you think and WISH me luck.Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-61034523653664838152010-08-16T08:51:00.000-07:002010-08-16T08:51:15.967-07:00Comand SquadWell Got some work done. Everything is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Weird. Well I have been busy making a Command Squad for the chapter but no time for painting. Also Started a new Tactical Squad and starting on an Ironclad Dreadnought (its in pieces). Well hopefully I get some more time to get some Pics up and when I do it will be nice. So everyone Stay Tuned.Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-455165480927029182010-07-01T14:26:00.000-07:002010-08-16T08:54:24.703-07:00I hate the Desert -Another Vanguard Veteran<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqJ3FHf3zo5dLMw7EGCfApiKOjKcsWibw6TZcdWw1TZopTM0MA7jbQnqYtehJHXObdjjW6doSnnC1avNrP1vlf8SmRpIykPMir4MAdl2ZlRuSG5IL53YyNsbiAZ71OeuJpXRivHdtWz38/s1600/IMGP0231.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqJ3FHf3zo5dLMw7EGCfApiKOjKcsWibw6TZcdWw1TZopTM0MA7jbQnqYtehJHXObdjjW6doSnnC1avNrP1vlf8SmRpIykPMir4MAdl2ZlRuSG5IL53YyNsbiAZ71OeuJpXRivHdtWz38/s320/IMGP0231.JPG" /></a><br />
Well we are still in the process of moving but last night was awful. My wife woke me up around 2 this morning say it was "Freaking Hot." Come to find out our AC died and so the whole house is hot, and living in a desert it sucks really bad. So now we sit in a hot house for the AC guy to get here, but its okay the AC guy is the dad of a friend of mine and I know how busy he is during the summer. So we'll sweat it out for a bit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrEG_R2VgwWXZtTvPlH4g5wQn7rLhil1ENAEnN9BZ5YAwX5Pjd-W1l8fhj61bvwj2YnAi2ATDwDWFe16y4vhRWzEpNjSZst17u4uTAxq1XtGJhUA9wpVTvf2SraBZahFGuUu3D1k50d3M/s1600/IMGP0233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrEG_R2VgwWXZtTvPlH4g5wQn7rLhil1ENAEnN9BZ5YAwX5Pjd-W1l8fhj61bvwj2YnAi2ATDwDWFe16y4vhRWzEpNjSZst17u4uTAxq1XtGJhUA9wpVTvf2SraBZahFGuUu3D1k50d3M/s320/IMGP0233.JPG" /></a></div>But you all are here for some minis so here you go another Vanguard Veteran. <br />

With the way the economy is in the US you just cant make it on your own anymore. So my family and my Mother-in-law are all moving in to a bigger house.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidKlixYRkcDS8Ia_8wPEYIw3A9VsHX53Q4TYPJNvD5kkVz-1qA_3pHo6FNgNU5uEFyMC-8lc6g41TU3d3WVDkd3tmxSvUAoXOOqGSTIXDJ6ZrdeF6qCDE0xzEHv14gAGP9ajfH16Uanng/s1600/IMGP0214.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidKlixYRkcDS8Ia_8wPEYIw3A9VsHX53Q4TYPJNvD5kkVz-1qA_3pHo6FNgNU5uEFyMC-8lc6g41TU3d3WVDkd3tmxSvUAoXOOqGSTIXDJ6ZrdeF6qCDE0xzEHv14gAGP9ajfH16Uanng/s320/IMGP0214.JPG" /></a></div>But there is a good thing about it all, I get my own space in the garage for my Hobby Stuff. Mind you where I live its a blessing and a curse. In the winter its nice but in the summer its Freaking HOT!! Oh well. I get my own space at least.<br />
<br />
<br />
So enough of the rambling here is some more Marines of the Iron Skull Chapter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLn31oGV8-NkbZpD1xz43s1kPn294B1jbDjRFuQ1mXs9f04VGXeOc-Hm2SxRsZgBRlGbbNQiG0KBccyKecOOGogfF6ghB_yvH3IT_hRc3vjjm4hQXG77I0XddFlorvpmFWE_lHaVgQTkA/s1600/IMGP0215.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLn31oGV8-NkbZpD1xz43s1kPn294B1jbDjRFuQ1mXs9f04VGXeOc-Hm2SxRsZgBRlGbbNQiG0KBccyKecOOGogfF6ghB_yvH3IT_hRc3vjjm4hQXG77I0XddFlorvpmFWE_lHaVgQTkA/s320/IMGP0215.JPG" /></a></div>So this is one of my Vanguard Veterans. I have always believed the Vets of first have the most bionic implants of the chapter. He has the Studded shoulder pad as the other Vets of First company.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
So I will be posting more at a later time I have about four more assembled.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhngQZaa6NseAyLl1WwtoeIGSYzpYvuHyH8V7Fn9w3SGMDPYRWtAAQEbhB6kVWeki27Vjki88M8aaUkfH-9_5ylx3NYtRJODnQC58HsJO_cTuVI8XkjD8JvwtUTN7hP5AKIjZIA9QjIR1o/s1600/IMGP0216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhngQZaa6NseAyLl1WwtoeIGSYzpYvuHyH8V7Fn9w3SGMDPYRWtAAQEbhB6kVWeki27Vjki88M8aaUkfH-9_5ylx3NYtRJODnQC58HsJO_cTuVI8XkjD8JvwtUTN7hP5AKIjZIA9QjIR1o/s320/IMGP0216.JPG" /></a></div> So let me know what you all think about the Vets. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-54864925997013779822010-06-26T21:37:00.000-07:002010-06-26T21:37:34.163-07:00Bitz Reinforcments Recived<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjebvNWg0lXK4K05q2m3zgzDzt9zQNlvoc_b7J0g-gPj1sQDnHUW-TZ49fCNa0fck00D8xedOPdCl3htW5NYOBfacyj04LDJrn5hDfd2mZuCK6-kuDtd04co6BkOFCgfmEtMacCzSJR1wk/s1600/IMGP0210.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjebvNWg0lXK4K05q2m3zgzDzt9zQNlvoc_b7J0g-gPj1sQDnHUW-TZ49fCNa0fck00D8xedOPdCl3htW5NYOBfacyj04LDJrn5hDfd2mZuCK6-kuDtd04co6BkOFCgfmEtMacCzSJR1wk/s320/IMGP0210.JPG" /></a></div>Well I got my Bitz order in today. I had to check the mailbox, which is weird the mail guy brings it to my door, but oh well. So I present you My BITZ.<br />
<br />
So as I said in the Post for Friday the Studded Pads are for the Veterans of First Company. The Chaos Plasma Pistols are for converting. The Power Maul is going to a Vanguard Veteran or maybe a new Company Captain just don't know yet.<br />
<br />
Well can't wait to use them.Deadmeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03469880030764879145noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595150817070747944.post-74149788981610927802010-06-25T21:51:00.000-07:002010-08-16T08:56:20.336-07:00Count As Sternguard<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixZwr_NowrIxhhP3aTscCGWprHT59lPFrLY1uRibfoZsf9BlYii_K5mckn7ffGX353VB6gbgnX164uh9h8-fhF8PbiTQFBJN8gppcS9TCWCb3VfEmw5EDP6OSjApTyHsACqvRqGJdZ1Pk/s1600/DSC_0075.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixZwr_NowrIxhhP3aTscCGWprHT59lPFrLY1uRibfoZsf9BlYii_K5mckn7ffGX353VB6gbgnX164uh9h8-fhF8PbiTQFBJN8gppcS9TCWCb3VfEmw5EDP6OSjApTyHsACqvRqGJdZ1Pk/s320/DSC_0075.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>So some of the first models I made when I got home were 5 Sternguards. I love how the different parts of the 1st Company have a little bit of rivalry with each other. So I made some Sternguards out of the Command and Tactical Squad Spruces. <br />
<br />
So basically they are just regular marines, but when you add the little details that's when they become true First Company Veterans.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcTu7k-NdounZBWb-crWfWZKjNIuG8P87sOoGDsls0lvzHz6UasRc0M3uz3_UsLKMuuAqsx6Z5H85sH1wZaTrLGqTm2nmGQ8BfJ1IVkoOqfVU8XCNsqv7Xt6EKupZOPIqRCeyp4HsmGw4/s1600/DSC_0081.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcTu7k-NdounZBWb-crWfWZKjNIuG8P87sOoGDsls0lvzHz6UasRc0M3uz3_UsLKMuuAqsx6Z5H85sH1wZaTrLGqTm2nmGQ8BfJ1IVkoOqfVU8XCNsqv7Xt6EKupZOPIqRCeyp4HsmGw4/s320/DSC_0081.JPG" /></a></div>All of my First Company Vets that are not in Terminator Armor have the right shoulder pad as a Studded one. I like the look of the Studded pads and it sets them apart form the rest of the Chapter.<br />
<br />
Another thing that sets them apart is the amount of Seals and Tabards they have on them. <br />
<br />
So I give you Squad Tertullian assigned to 3rd Company Brother Captain Marcus.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQRap0C4748ssqPlZ4HRWv4X_ZrTQphq_TVQp0JlKL9m9Ki08HRmbsgPmvaO7770pMP8twq03QbowdsFkg0K3XhwK-qtMfSq5Ba9CaA-zWs3zoVrW7UiN4wLnABQ4MtbowzCPyuvtjXUE/s1600/DSC_0079.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQRap0C4748ssqPlZ4HRWv4X_ZrTQphq_TVQp0JlKL9m9Ki08HRmbsgPmvaO7770pMP8twq03QbowdsFkg0K3XhwK-qtMfSq5Ba9CaA-zWs3zoVrW7UiN4wLnABQ4MtbowzCPyuvtjXUE/s320/DSC_0079.JPG" /></a></div>From left to right Brother Octavianus, Borther Octavian, Veteran Sgt. Tertullian, Brother Marco, and Brother Larcius<br />
<br />
All will be armed with boltguns.<br />
<br />
So let me know what you all thing about my Vets.<br />
<br />
